I wonder how many will elect to stay onboard a sinking ship , rather than getting into one of those things.
Demostration about Release hook for Life boat Freefall davit ua-cam.com/video/Lk1-xmg2s7E/v-deo.html
Would make for a helluva amusement park ride!
Boy I bet that would give a couple passengers a heart attack , but that’s a better alternative to going down with the ship , the problem is all the chaos when a boat is sinking , can they have the staff stay focused and get them all launched , when a boat may go down in a hour or less ! But still an awesome design , I think the smaller ones , should be used with a catapult design and just launch a whole bunch of them in the water with a weighted anchor
bonjour est t-il possible d avoir deux canot de sauvetage comme sur la vidéo en forme de mini sous-marin qui glisse sur un tobogan a l arriére des navires ? merci ++
What happens when u hit debris in the water it a plastic boat
Where can I buy a used one? Germany...
I hope the test uses only engineers, lol
Que de souvenirs, j 'étais a Mururoa février 1968 sur croiseur de grasse

Bet thats a fun ride.
Not realistic at all
👋
c très mignon
That’s what I’m saying .. damn team of engineers to lunch,
Qué complicado. En una emergencia son segundos para reaccionar.
F' that for a game of sailors
And then they scrape all the mushed passengers out of the front of the boat.🙄
selamat dari karam,, modiarr karena jantungan.!!

as high up as that looks, when you're actually in the life boat it doesn't feel like that far of a drop
Im still never gonna do that
Really?
That’s a lie
@@janicesullivan8942 Dont believe him, you really do feel it, but its fun, its only scary before the drop.
Video starts at 2:52 You're welcome
Mortel le nouveau manége à sensation 😅🙏
2:56 if i was in there I’m gonna say "GERONIMOooo!!!!"

Not much of a proof of concept if there's not a full crew on board!!....and it takes way to long to launch!!🤪😡💩
So, what happens if the ships over more shallow water, you just die when it impacts the bottom? What if the ships on it's side? What if someone isn't strapped into the harness before it launches? This seems like a stupid idea, and a total waste of time and money.
The ship won't sink if it's in shallow water, it probably can't even sail there so that's no concern. You can launch rafts if the ship is on its side. Most likely they would have already evacuated before the list gets to bad too. That's why it's really important to make sure everyone is strapped in properly. Free fall lifeboats are actually the safest and fastest way to evacuate the ship. So definetly not a waste of time or money.
Next test speed
and if the ship is listing 20 degrees, what does it do, go off the rails sideways?
Maybe. But if worst comes to worst, it can float off as the ship sinks out from under it
Launch mechanism takes too long
This can only save lives if the ship sink slowly.. but i think its useless in an emergency situation.
this is better than six Flags
Nobody survives that impact. Maybe young and strong people can survive.
That's opinionated and factually not true.
@@haydenm.3912 Your opinion is not supported by scientific studies either.
@@bhadghuy5123 Everything in those boats are held to strict safety regulations to keep the people inside safe. While something like that is rougher on the body than something like not falling 80ft into the water, there are precautions in the design of the boat to help with it such as: backwards facing seats so your whole body takes the impact and your neck doesn't snap forward, specially designed bows to help the boat cut through the water and slow down more gradually, and calculated angles for how the boat comes off of the main ship so it enters the water as smooth as possible. While I have no study, comments like yours that show absolutely no facts and just opinions are fundimentally wrong and should be challenged. Here's your proof ua-cam.com/video/dwUfmvSySV8/v-deo.html
Well thats 8 mins of my life I aint going to get back.
Yeah I'm with you,it was total shit!!💩💩😠
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 😊😊😊😊😊
If the fire on the ship didn't kill you, this thing would. When you hit the water in this thing, you feel anywhere from 14-20 G's.
what is the G force on impact? The heights looks like 20 m or so and it could be easily 70km/h on impact. How can people survive inside?
These things can be dropped from 65 meters wonder what the data is there but 20m is not pleasant but childsplay, an Oil Rig is a lot higher and they are safe to use there.
Google it. They’re facing backwards, and take the impact into a high-density foam that cushions the forces. Clever design.
I saw a documentary about slightly other shaped boats... this had 14 g impact energy

I hate amusement park rides. this is too much like one.
Will it work if the ship is listing at 30 degrees?
Utterly complicated, sluggish and confusing to use at any real emergency and under stress. Purposefully over-engineered to account for usage of entire grant/project fundings!
Boring, party of Bored...
Are there smaller lifeboats for Ceres or do we all share the same rafts
I'd rather stay on the ship than get a 10m free fall into water
I hope this isn't really how long it takes to launch those things, if so the crew is gonna be in trouble.
